- Unexpectedly friendly wait staff.
- Amazing food sans the pretentiousness commonly associated with other restaurants in the area.
- Crazy chocolate and banana bread pudding desert. Best bread pudding I’ve ever had.
Bored to death by the prospect of doing the usual chocolates, flowers and fancy dinner. We decided to inject a little Halloween into the commercial holiday travesty known as Valentine’s Day. Our plan:
- Dress up in our best EMO outfits.
- Take in the Tim Burton Exhibit.
- Enjoy the best NYC Mille Crepe at Lady M.
Named the “Best Vegetarian Restaurant in NYC” by both amNew York and L Magazine I couldn’t resist. Five tasty dishes later I was convinced that Dirt Candy was only for vegetarians or foodies looking for something different.
Dating Tip: In my opinion Dirt Candy is a great first date spot. Small, intimate and sure to spark a great conversation. Now if for some reason your date hates the spot you can both have a laugh over burgers at a late night diner.
She stirred something inside my ghost I had writen off long ago. I bury my head and enjoy each moment with her.
A great show with some of the coolest visuals I’ve seen at a concert in a long time. My only gripe was them not playing Everything Counts. WTF!

Everyone I know that has seen this film warned me I would cry. Mentally prepared I purchased my ticket and prepared for the emotional purge. Hours later as the credits rolled I wonder, am I really that emotionally dead inside?
Regardless of my dark heart I found the movie amazing and fun. I’m glad to see Pixar redeem themselves after that misstep called Wall-E
