I’d been meaning to post about this topic for quite some time but never got around to it. If you want more information check out this great article from TechCrunch.

With only a few episodes left in the fifth and final season of The Wire I’ve begun to search for my next television addiction.

Mad Men
Set in 1960s New York, the sexy, stylized and provocative AMC drama Mad Men follows the lives of the ruthlessly competitive men and women of Madison Avenue advertising, an ego-driven world where key players make an art of the sell.

The series revolves around the conflicted world of Don Draper (Hamm), the biggest ad man (and ladies man) in the business, and his colleagues at the Sterling Cooper Advertising Agency. As Don makes the plays in the boardroom and the bedroom, he struggles to stay a step ahead of the rapidly changing times and the young executives nipping at his heels. The series also depicts authentically the roles of men and women in this era while exploring the true human nature beneath the guise of 1960s traditional family values.

I woke up raw, blew off a meeting and showed up to work two hours late. Embarrassed by my display of poor judgement I spent the rest of the morning nursing my wounds and apologizing to my coworkers

The bright side is I discovered the recipe for irresponsibility:

Five games of Flip cup (never lost a round)
Four Gin and Tonics
Three Guinness
Two Lychee Martinis
One SoCo and Lime shot

Next time I need to show restraint.

The annual, give back to the community event was today and I had the best time working with my team. Feast your eyes on our handy work. Pretty slick if I do say so myself.

Well, I need to get back to drinking since after parties with open bars are a rare thing in this economy.

Being a video game nerd it should be no surprise to anyone that I actually watch G4. When I saw this clip I had to share it with the rest of my video game nerd friends. Enjoy.

After seeing some pictures taken on a camping trip I realized I was fat and needed to take my health seriously.  Weighing in at 208 lbs. a lifestyle change was in order. Determined, I changed my eating habits and incorporated a realistic work out regiment.

Gone were the days of stuffing my face with fast food and large portions.  Sitting around watching television and playing video games were now a treat and not the norm. Daily weigh-ins and realistic goals motivated me when all I wanted to do was quit.

Thankfully, I kept at it and can officially say I’ve lost 30 lbs. in one year. Five days short of a calendar year to be exact.

While doing a little research for work I came across this tiny fashion blog, The Sartorialist.  The images / fashion captured by blogger Scott Schuman are striking.  This might be my new favorite blog.

PS I am in love with this model.  If anyone knows of her last whereabouts please don’t hesitate contacting me.

I guess I’ve been opening bananas the wrong way for the last thirty years of my life.  I guess there goes the theory of evolution.

I heard about the Patron Social Club through Going.com and decided to check it out. The place was über chill and the people a good mix of hipsters and young professionals. I’d blog more but I need to get a few more drinks and make some friends.
