You are probably expecting a one line review but oddly enough I'm torn. On one hand I found this film silly and poorly written. Which caught me by surprise when you consider Academy Award winning writer Diablo Cody, of Juno fame, penned the screenplay. But on the other, I couldn't help but enjoy the corny nature of the film. If you enjoyed The Craft pick up a copy and file it under guilty pleasure.

Mass Effect
Released two years ago by renowned game developer BioWare I put off picking up a copy. Turned off by comparisons to Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic (an amazing game) and the "been there done that mentality" I've finally cracked. The funny part is I didn't wake up one morning with a deep desire to play a sci-fi RPG. It was the commercial blitz promoting the release of Mass Effect 2.
SXSW
What is SXSW?
South by Southwest (SXSW) is a set of interactive, film, and music festivals and conferences that take place every spring in Austin, Texas. SXSW first began in 1987 and is centered on the downtown Austin Convention Center. Each of the three parts runs relatively independently, with different start and end dates.
Why Am I Writing About This?
Cause I spent the afternoon booking my trip to SXSW. Now before you get excited I should mention I'm not going for the film or music portion. I'm going for the geeky interactive stuff. YAY ME!
BioShock
Purchased two years ago I've finally got around to exploring the extremely immersive world of Rapture. BioShock is one part The Island of Dr. Moreau, two parts Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea and a dash of art deco design. After spending a few hours with the game I can say that all the buzz regarding the moral decisions in the game seem like silly marketing / fanboy hype.
