Got bored and decided to watch Weird Science, one of my favorite John Hughes films. Spent the rest of the evening wondering why no one in Hollywood has attempted to remake this film? Obviously they would fuck it up but it might actually stand a chance at being good considering the amazing source material.
Great performances from Peter Sarsgaard, Alfred Molina, Emma Thompson and Carey Mulligan. Sadly the ending feels anti-climactic and lifted from a cheesy after school special.
I never realized asking which is the best werewolf movie ever made would be so polarizing. Some say The Howling, I say An American Werewolf in London. You decide.
As usual I was running late for work when I dropped my iPhone. Normally this wouldn’t be worth mentioning but since Halloween I’ve been carrying my iPhone without any protective case. This got me wondering how many people actually shield their iPhone?
After a quick nonscientific study (observing people on the subway) most men use some form of protection while women just dump it in their purse.
Just read what I wrote and realized the sexual undertones. Starting to back away slowly.
Second day in a row I was unable to thwart the cookie monster. I’m not sure if this is directly related to the weather or work stress. Probably work related.
This got me thinking, when will someone sue their company for the an eating disorder (high blood pressure, diabetes, etc.) due to work related stress. Kind of like a work related injury. I think this would be ridiculous but that doesn’t seem to stop the droves of people clogging the legal system with far more frivolous lawsuits.
Woke up feeling bummed and I’m not really sure why. At lunch I ate three cookies in an attempt to feel better. This had the opposite effect making me feel even worse for cheating on my diet. I so want this day to end.
Exhausted from a workout all I wanted to do was relax and enjoy the subway ride home but fate had other plans. As I began to get comfortable I noticed a woman staring at me. Her eyes darted up and down as if she were scanning me. After five minutes it dawned on me, this was a girl I had ignored on Match.
The next twenty minutes were spent trying to avoid eye contact. I failed. Our eyes met and a stinging sense of awkwardness ran through my body.
