Five dates and I could no longer ignore her lack of interest. If actions speak louder than words; her standoffish body language and tendency to be forty five minutes late were clear indicators of her lack of interest. Yet somehow my desire to be around her caused me to ignore the voice in my head.
Most of the weekend I spent examining what went wrong and concluded that dating isn’t an equation with variables and a set solution. Dating is an organic entity that we can’t control. Our best bet is to surrender to one another and see where it takes us. Sadly, no matter how strong I feel toward her, no matter how hard I try I need to admit she isn’t interested in anything other than friendship.
