Introducing EVA my iPhone 3G
I was up at the crack of dawn, dead set on getting an iPhone 3G and confident my plan would work. Instead of going all the way into the city and standing on a crazy two hundred people line at the Apple store I decided to go to my neighborhood AT&T store.
After six hours of standing in line I got my hands on the iPhone 3G but it came at a cost.
- My boss was irked that I took a half day
- I got the white model since they ran out of black
- I would have been able to get it quicker had I gone to the Apple Store
- It cost a fucking arm and a leg
Now I know this shit sounds all glum but the high points totally make all the shit listed above worth it.
- I got the white model which seems to be the model women love.
- Everyone instantly knows I got the new iPhone 3G. Geek / trendy cred.
- Having to wait for six hours was a sort of birthing process. Not the pain part but the bonding aspect.
- The iPhone 3G is AMAZING!
Note: Only Apple can make a product that is geeky and trendy at the same time. God bless you Steve Jobs.
We Own the Night
While waiting for my phone to sync I decided to watch We Own the Night. It had a lot of style but its slow tone was irritating. You could tell director, James Gray was trying to create this sweeping crime drama but in the end fails.
