As I left the train station the sweet / nauseating odor of McDonald’s hung in the hot summer air tempting my empty stomach. I knew I should have walked away but I was ravenous and the temptation was too strong.
I quickly walked home with a cheese burger and a twenty piece tucked under my arm excited at the prospect of sitting down watching bad movies while stuffing my face.
Aliens vs Predator Requiem
I love these sort of movies even though nine out of ten times they let me down. I understand its horror / science fiction but the elements required in telling a good story still apply.
AVPR wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, in fact it was better than the first. Directors Colin Strause
and Greg Strause actually tried to develop the characters and inject elements from previous Alien and Predator films but fail. In the end the movie was mediocre and should only be seen by fans of the series.
National Treasure Book of Secrets
I liked the first film and figured this would be just as good. Boy was I wrong. It wasn’t awful but it just took too many liberties. Normally I would tear a film like this apart but at some point during the film you just let go and enjoy it.
